So much fun.
Our parents group is here for families just like yours.
Who are we?
WAM & Fam is an independent parents group that welcomes all families. Our members include parents and primary caregivers who stay at home with their children either full or part time or work any number of hours. Our group is not for au pairs and nannies. Visit our About page to learn how we’ve evolved over the past 20-plus years.
The majority of our members live around the Wheaton and Silver Spring areas of Montgomery County, Md., primarily near the 20902 zip code. See the FAQs page for more information about our group’s postal boundaries.
ACTIVITIES & EVENTS
Playtime with friends
Our variety of activities offer parents flexibility yet reliability. Our monthly calendar has plenty of after school, evening, and weekend activities. And many of our playgroups are held during the day, when at-home parents need the most support.
WAM & Fam also believes in showing our children how we can give back to our community and help our fellow members and neighbors. Visit our Volunteer services page for more information about the many ways in which we try to help others.
Be a part of our community
Come join the fun! Our parents group always welcomes new members. We host two community-wide public events each month for prospective members. We also maintain the friendships we’ve made through our alumni network.
