The Little Hearts co-educational early childhood program at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart serves children 3 months old through kindergarten. Our Little Hearts classrooms are places of engagement and wonder for the hearts and minds of very young children to grow in all areas: social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual. This is where the love of learning begins in our Sacred Heart family.
Our classrooms engage the hearts and minds of young children, using developmentally appropriate practices based on information about how children develop and learn; their individual strengths, interests, and needs; and their family cultures and community. They learn to ask questions, solve problems, respect themselves, and care responsibly for others.
Our cognitive expectations taught through researched-based best practices, the Creative Curriculum, and The Project Approach promote exploration within a structured and nurturing learning environment.
Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory school in Bethesda, Md., for girls, grades 1–12, with our co-educational early childhood program, Little Hearts.
