Grace Episcopal Day School is a small school (approximately 100 students) with a big mission: to provide an excellent, well-rounded education to a diverse community of children ages 3–11 years (preschool – grade 5) and their families. The racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic diversity of our student body reflects the rich mix of the Washington, D.C., metro area; over half of our student body is composed of students of color. Like our founders in 1960, we believe that we all benefit from being part of a varied and inclusive environment.
Grace Episcopal Day School is designed to celebrate childhood at each developmental stage, from early childhood through elementary school. We are committed to meeting children where they are and helping them to grow. Play is the basis of early learning and continues to benefit students’ social and emotional development through grade 5. Our 11-acre campus, recently designated a Maryland Green School, offers easy access to the outdoors, with time each day for nature exploration, physical education, and recess.
As an Episcopal school, we are passionately committed to raising individuals who serve others, become positive agents of change, and feel connected to something larger than themselves.
