At 4 Corners Community Nursery (4CCN), we believe that children have a natural curiosity and a strong desire to learn. We also believe that play is the work of children. It is through meaningful play experiences that children’s overall development is fostered.
Teachers at 4CCN support children’s natural curiosity by providing them with relevant, developmentally appropriate activities and materials that enable them to experiment and create. Information is not taught in isolation—it is integrated into the daily events and connected to the children’s experiences.
Our curriculum is based on the principle that children who have a positive sense of self, a respect for others, creative and critical thinking skills, and a sense of community will be well prepared for school and life.

4 Corners Community Nursery is required to follow the CDC guidelines for opening and operating a child care center. All safety measures are followed, including wearing masks, hand washing, cleaning and disinfecting, social distancing, rolling drop off and pick up, small class sizes, and lots of outdoor play.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, no outside visitors are allowed. Otherwise, 4CCN usually offers monthly in-house field trips that bring community groups into the school to teach the children about nature, music, and health and safety.
